It was 1916 when, Robert Ganapole, began manufacturing packing trunks in a small corner of the Portland Waterfront. Exceeding the customer's expectations of quality and price were the cornerstones that built his business.
In 1943, son-in-law Bill Simon opened a retail operation providing the best selection of luggage and travel trunks in the Northwest. Over the next 56 years, Portland Luggage Co. has established the standard for quality brand names, the latest styles, designs, fabrics, the highest level of customer service and the most competitive pricing anywhere in the country.
Today, third generation family members Wendy Liebreich and Gregg Simon continue the tradition in running Oregon's largest luggage and business case store with the most complete selection on the west coast.
